Saw this on Living with Hypermobility Syndrome’s facebook this morning. I remember doing these exact “tricks” as a kid and thought it was so cool. That was many years before I knew it was a problem. Lol I didn’t think anyone else did those things with their fingers!

Storms

Storms and I have a love/hate relationship. I love to watch, listen to, and experience storms and even sleep during them. But my joints are hating this storm right now. Trying to focus on the coolness of listening to the thunder. We just got over the cold of winter which didn’t agree with my joints so hopefully after spring showers things will calm down. If I didn’t have all my family here I’d move to AZ for sure!

Catching your fall

Does anyone else know what I’m talking about when I say your muscles jerk your joints every which way when you are trying not to fall? On my way into work this morning I took two steps then slipped on an invisible patch of ice suddenly. Before I could even consciously think to catch myself, my body reacted and my back muscles jerked my spine HARD in three different directions to quickly gain balance. That was PAINFULL. Now my back is all out of whack. Blah

Oh hi jeans I haven’t worn for FOUR years! Where have you been? Hiding from my growing butt that’s where! Hiding with my jeans that I haven’t worn for 6 years. Well get ready bc you’re next! And ice only lost about 10 lbs. Imagine when I lose 10 more :)

Blessed

I think sometimes I only remember to post when I’m having a hard time. But not today. Today I feel completely and absolutely blessed! I always feel blessed, but I don’t say it enough. Thank you, God, for everything you have blessed me with. You’ve never failed me. Never! God knows what I need way more than I do and I might not always know what’s going on or why but I know that he does and there’s always a reason. I have the most incredible husband in the world and I have no idea what I did to deserve him among other blessings also in my life. So even on my bad or painful days I have so many blessings to count I’d be counting all day! I’m one lucky girl :)

What the…?!

On Saturday morning I was putting lotion on my hands. That’s pretty normal, right? Everyone does it. What’s not normal is that as I slid my left hand across the top of my right hand when I was speeding the lotion I felt something…maybe a tendon get pushed then OUCH f%&$! It felt like a nerve got instantly pinched somewhere deep down inside my hand or wrist. It was the most instantaneous, sharp, and painful thing I’ve ever felt. I kept pulling my hand in different ways trying to get whatever it was unpinched. Finally I got it to stop. Geesh! All from putting lotion on my hands. This never ceases to surprise me.
